Armed assailants have killed a teacher and kidnapped no fewer than 25 pupils in an raid targeting a educational institution for young women in north-western Nigeria, police reports indicate.
The armed faction invaded the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in the Maga locality within Kebbi State at around 4 AM local time on the start of the week, authorities reported.
The assailants "confronted officers on duty in a firefight" before climbing over the boundary wall and seizing the students from their hostel, an official report indicated.
